PharmaPortal is a new online educational resource targeting community and hospital pharmacists throughout the United Kingdom. The website is the result of a unique collaboration between the Joint Programmes Board (JPB London) and the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA) to offer the highest quality educational programming for pharmacists, setting a new standard of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the UK. PharmaPortal delivers timely and relevant content presented by expert faculty, highly recognized in both academia and pharmacy practice. Learning modules are available on demand and delivered in multiple formats including panel discussions, single topic and case presentations. PharmaPortal utilizes outcomes data from participants to assess improvement in knowledge, competency and performance.

Our first continuing professional development series “Perspectives in Pharmacotherapeutics for Ischaemic Heart Disease” features up to 6 new programmes focused on maximizing the impact of pharmacists on symptom management and risk reduction in ischaemic heart disease. Each program is developed by the leading cardiology specialist pharmacists in the UKCPA. Our goal is to offer consistency of educational quality and “one stop” access to CPD of the appropriate level for different branches of the profession, in line with the call for seamless provision of CPD in the United Kingdom.
